    With the scanner ability being removed from the game, this means that we have to find an alternatives way to scout.

    One of a ways to find a good place to spend the night, then build a command center and use it to fly around the map and reveal them.

    I use this as well, but only for the immediate area. I am a bit OCD about loosing buildings and don't like sending it out too far. Great for peeking at Zerg bases and up cliffs.

    I am thinking about using a Predator as a scout as well. Expensive, but dual-purpose and only really killable by Infestors, Brood Lords, or running into a patch of Spine Crawlers.
