For me - I beat it with a Protoss ending a few times, a few weeks ago, before the resent downsizing and easing of the final Zerg waves, and before the supplies became passable.
The only way to do this was to mass Skypiersers and Colosses (because they have powerful area attack) up to the cost of supply of over 150, and during the attack stand near the mass of the Restorers.
It was the only way to mass so many supplies: walk through the map with all your Mules and SCV in autorepair mode and pick supplies up, feeding yourself for new units from the bonus for the killed Hatcheries and getting some Gas with the Probe from time to time.
Was also useful to leave the only Hatchery on the cliff to make all the ground units spawn there and stay there), but with so many Colosses this did not really make much of a difference.

I beat Brutal SOLO for the first AND second times today!
Really lucky Fusion/Robo placement helped.

Was on brutal, I find protoss units make it extremely easy. The tesla coils barely did anything after we had skypiecers and colossi.

I have beat it in teams all three ways, but both my solo wins involved rushing Bertha/Minigun/advanced Protoss and getting Beacons. The sooner I win the better.
